Dorothy Cain Chesnee, SC Dorothy “Dot” Cain, widow of W.L. “Billy” Cain of 7494 Parris Bridge Road went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Regional Hospice Home. Born September 13, 1934 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Ben Max Ross Sr. and Exie Shields Ross. Mrs. Cain was a member of Arrowwood Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Lynn C. Scruggs of Chesnee; grandchildren, Carmen Blackwell, Carrie Rhymer, Kevin Scruggs and six great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son Mike Cain, son-in-law, Roy Scruggs, one brother and four sisters. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Mr. John Rhymer officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
