Donald Ray Emory, 74, husband of Diana Gipe Emory, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday February 9, 2025, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC.

Born September 21, 1950, in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Thad Dean Emory and Irene Champion. He was formerly employed with South Fine Blanketing in Cowpens and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Rhonda White (Chris) of Cowpens; son, Jeromy Emory of Pacolet; sisters, Kay Emory of Mayo, Nellie Emory of Chesnee; grandchildren, Faith White, Dalton White, Adrienne Emory, Elijah Emory, Jonathan Blanton; great-grandchildren, Jaiden Blanton, Zoey Blanton and Colt Blanton.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Betty Taylor, Hazel Emory, Bobbie McCraw, Patsy Emory; brothers, John Emory, Jimmy Emory, Tommy Emory and Sam Emory.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Steven Griffith and Rev. Chris White officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
