David L. Brock, II age 45, affectionately known as “Brock” passed away the evening of Thursday July 27, 2023 at Spartanburg Hospice House surrounded by his loving family and close friends after a brief illness. Brock was born on September 27, 1977 in Spartanburg, SC. A loving son of David L. Brock and Pamela June O’Kelley Brock. He graduated from Boiling Springs High School, Class of 1995. Where soon after graduation, he enlisted into The United States Army where he served his country a tanker until 1999. He was employed by MSI Viking as an inside sales associate in Duncan, SC.
Brock was an avid sports fanatic. He loved his Boston Red Sox, Dallas Cowboys, South Carolina Gamecock football, and North Carolina Tarheels basketball. He was a life loving, fun personality, giver of all , selfless beyond belief, never met a stranger, and always put FAMILY AND OTHERS first.
He was survived by his loving fiancé, Christie Seniuk and children, Tristin, Bryson, and Zoey, as well as, future mother-in-law, Rebecca Glenn of Spartanburg, SC; his parents, David and Pam Brock of Inman, SC; his sister, Sara and Ryan Wagner (spouse) and niece, Remeerae of Campobello, SC; Glenn Ray Brock, uncle of Pickens, SC, Richard H. Brock and Ann (spouse) of Boiling Springs, SC; Katy O’Kelley, Trey and Tammy (spouse) O’Kelley, and Tanner O’Kelley, first cousins of Oklahoma; Cathy Billington and David (spouse) of Texas, first cousin; Laura Cochran and Jeremy (spouse) of Boiling Springs, first cousin; and an indefinite amount of non-blood related brothers and sisters throughout the United States.
Nellie Mae Saxon (maternal grandmother), Eugene Davis O’Kelley Sr (maternal grandfather), Dave O’Kelley (maternal uncle), Latharae Bush Brock Triplett (paternal grandmother), and Glenn E. Brock (paternal grandfather) departed this world prior.
A special thank you goes out to each and everyone who has given selflessly and been there for Brock and family during his time of need.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday August 7,2023 at 3:00PM at Turning Point Freewill Baptist Church, 104 Fairview Church Road Spartanburg, SC 29307 with Pastor Todd Black officiating.
