Carolyn Denise Wilson, 59, wife of Gary Wilson, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born January 13, 1965 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Albert Thomas and Sarah Redden Thomas. She was retired from USC Upstate, was a devoted Christian, she loved her church Chesnee First Baptist Church, her Sunday School class and singing in the choir. She loved her kids, sisters as well as the rest of her family. She also loved her beloved pets, Lizzy and Lilly.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her children, Lisa Godfrey of Gaffney, Timothy Godfrey (Dawn) of Converse, Kimberly Wilson of Gaffney; sisters, Sara Ann Thomas of Campobello, Rhonda Tukey of Roebuck, Beth Cudd of Cowpens; grandchildren, Will, Melinda, Caroline and Jaxon Godfrey and Gage Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Chesnee First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church with Dr. Gary J. Grogan officiating. Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2024 in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
