Carey Cantrell

Carey Cantrell Chesnee, SC. Rufus Carey Cantrell, 80, loving husband of Shirley Bishop Cantrell of R.L. Cantrell Blvd. passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at his home. Born December 11, 1937 in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late R.L. Cantrell and Clara Gilbert Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was a farmer, a former employee with Art Metal and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Dwayne Cantrell and wife Cindy, Darryl Cantrell and wife Candace, David Cantrell and wife Angie, Donnie Cantrell and wife Christy; sister, Virginia Cantrell Williams; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Judy Cantrell Lynch. Graveside Services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery on Parris Bridge Rd. with Rev. Barry Felton officiating.
