Byron Nathan Blackwell

Byron N. Blackwell Mayo, SC. Byron Nathan Blackwell, 82, husband of Virginia Howard Washington of Chesnee Hwy. passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home. Born April 1, 1935 in Rutherford County, NC., he was a son of the late Grove N. Blackwell and Lula Mae Blackwell. He was the owner/operator for Cooley Springs Heating and Air for 35 years. He was a good man who helped any and everyone in need, as long as he was able. He was a good husband, father and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, Scott Blackwell of Greenville; step sons, Richie Lance of Boiling Springs, Tony Beheler of Mayo; daughter, Sherry Wofford; brother, Jim Blackwell of Chesnee; sister, Joyce Carroll (Jimmy) of Campobello; grandchildren, Mark Blackwell, Brian Wofford and two great-grandchildren, William Blackwell and Bailey Blackwell. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Springhill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Monday, prior to the service at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. The family is at the home.
