Buck Davis Campobello, SC. Russell “Buck” Wayne Davis, 96, widower of Doris Davis of Strickland Road formerly of Chesnee, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his home. Born June 5, 1921 in Mooresboro, NC., he was the son of the late Pratt Davis. He was a former Postmaster with the Deland, FL. Post Office, a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Chesnee United Methodist Church. Surviving are his daughters, Debbie Shelley and husband Danny of Sumter, Amanda Bruce and husband Daniel of Campobello, Sandi Alverson of Campobello, Tandi Gowan and husband Tim of Spartanburg; son, Randy Davis of Chesnee; grandchildren, Clara Lee and husband Josh of Summerville, Cade Shelley of Charleston, Jessica Chesnee of Campobello, Joshua Bruce of Greenville, Brianna Alverson of Inman, Tara Gowan of Spartanburg, Tyler Gowan of Spartanburg; Johnathan Davis of Chesnee and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a grandson, Bradley Jordan. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Chesnee United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Thompson, Mr. Curt Lancaster and Mr. Robert Johnson officiating. Family members are at their respective homes.
