Brandy Danielle Mayfield-Hicks, wife of Melissa Hicks, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 17, 2024 at her home.

Born May 10, 1979 in Cherokee County, she is the daughter of Danny Mayfield and Susan “Suzy” Raines Mayfield and was employed with Spartanburg Medical Center for over 20 years. The past 10 years, her passion was working with HIV/Aids patients though the Ryan White Project.

Surviving in addition to her wife and parents is her sister, Tracy Oaks (David) of Shelby, NC.; brother, Benji Mayfield of Gaffney; nephews, David Thomas Oaks, Joshua Chase Oaks; great-nephew, Benjamin Wyatt Oaks; mother-in-law, Susan Hicks of Chesnee; special friends, Leslie Anderson, Karen Diercks and Sarah Soto.

She was predeceased by a niece, Alyssa Jade Mayfield and her father-in-law, Johnny Hicks.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024 in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Fredrick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
