Brandon “Little Man” Mark Tallent, Jr.
Brandon “Little Man” Mark Tallent, Jr., 14 years old, passed away the evening of Sunday, September 4, 2022, while on his way home from his church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church after injuries sustained in an accident. Little Man was born on December 17, 2007, in Spartanburg to Brandon Mark Tallent and Karen Michelle Horton Tessnear. He was a lifelong resident of Spartanburg County and currently was enrolled in 9th grade at Broome High School. He was looking forward to going into JRROTC and his plan was that once he graduated from high school, he would join the United States Navy where he wanted to train as a Navy Seal.
Left to mourn his passing are his mother and step-father Karen Michelle and Eric Tessnear of Cowpens, father; Brandon Mark Tallent of Blacksburg, brother; Christopher Brandon Horton of Lancaster, sister; Makayla Dallas Horton of Gaffney, maternal grandmother; Nina Cline of Lancaster, paternal grandmothers; Gail Tallent of Blacksburg, Nancy Estes of Gaffney, and maternal great-grandmother, Bettina Cline of Lancaster.
The family invites friends for visitation on Thursday evening, 6-8 pm, in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary, 5880 Chesnee Highway, Chesnee, 29323. Funeral services will be held on Friday, 1:00 pm at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Bradley Barker officiating. Little Man will have the honor of being laid to rest with the veterans in the veteran’s section of Frederick Memorial Gardens, Gaffney.
