William Allen “Bill” Akers, 63, husband of Darlene Davenport, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born June 29, 1961 in Dearborn, Michigan, he was a son of the late Calvin Akers and Virginia Ruth Lentz Akers. Bill was employed with the Upstate Community Family Resource Center for 10 years and also with Spartanburg County School District 2.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, Tommy Davenport; brothers, Donald Akers and Lawrence Akers and a sister, Carol Akers.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Charles Akers.

No formal services will be held at this time.
