Antonia Maria Junco passed away May 31, 2018 at the age of 95.
Antonia Maria Junco was born on April 2, 1923, in Trinidad, Cuba to her parents, Ernesto Vendrell and Maria Pelegrin. She was the oldest of three children in her family. Antonia attended the the University of Habana where she received a Law Degree. In 1947 she married her husband of 55 years Manuel Junco. Manuel and Antonia had five children. She was a woman of great faith, joy and kindness, which she shared with all who knew her. In addition, she loved to read, share stories, and write poetry. She was persistent and never gave up. She had a servant spirit and was always encouraging towards others and loved unconditionally.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Carmen, and sister Carmen Caballero.
Those who are left to cherish her memories are her children Manuel Junco Jr and his wife Susan Junco of Houston, Texas, her son Jose Junco and his wife Kim Junco of Jefferson, Georgia; her daughter Ana Blanton and her husband Gregg Blanton of Asheville, NC and her daughterTeresa Parker and her husband Cliff Parker of Archdale, NC., fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Her brother Ernesto Vendrell and sister in law Oneida Vendrell of Miami, Florida, as well as her two sister in laws Carmina Talamas and Pilarin Diaz.
