Alvaro Javier Burgos-Guitierrez, 41 years old, husband of Ilian Maria Sanchez-Orbando, passed away the early morning hours of Friday, September 27, 2024, a victim of Hurricane Helene. He was born on February 5, 1983, in Managua, Nicaragua, to the late Gregoria Nicolas Burgos and his mother, Amanda Guitierrez Espinosa. He studied in his native Nicaragua and graduated from the university with a degree in engineering.

Survivors include his wife, Ilian Maria Sanchez-Orbando of Chesnee, daughter, Maria Fernanda Burgos-Sanchez and his mother, Amanda Guiterrez Espinosa of Nicaragua.

Formal funeral services will be held in Nicaragua.
